Day 2: Tokyo DisneySea

Crunch time today! We faced the daunting task of getting to DisneySea (apparently the only one in the world) via Japan's famous train network. Initially, we had trouble buying tickets from the vending machine cos we couldn't read all the stations' names in Japanese.. until we learnt to press a button for English.. duhh so 'sua ku'! Then we had to use the coins of various sizes (not necessarily in accordance to their value.. 500> 10> 5> 50> 100> 1) so we don't end up lugging a few thousand worth of yen in our pockets.. Next, was trying to figure out the confusing labyrinth of long tunnels and passageways (which seemed never-ending on the way back to the hotel at night).. BUT as we exited at Maihama Station, we discovered that we didn't put in the correct fare.. and ended up having to JUMP the barrier (which fortunately was rather low).. so now we have souvenier tickets! Ha ha ha!

Jared.. being taller and probably even more gung-ho than our previous trip to Movie World at Gold Coast.. wanted to try EVERYTHING and was upset when we said 'No'. Justin.. on the other hand.. was terrified of getting on the fast rides and absolutely refused to get into the queue.. as different as night and day.. haiz.. So, in order to be fair to both of them.. I went on the scary rides with Jared while Jimmy explored other stuff with Justin. However, I drew the line after waiting ONE HOUR for a ride with Jared's incessant whining 'Why so long?'.. 'I'm hungry'.. 'Are we there yet?'.. 'What time is it now?' Although the Dreams Fireworks finale was cancelled due to wind conditions, the water shows were impressive enough.. with huge floats, jet skis, kites, flags, drums, fire-infernos, dancing fountain, lights, music and fireworks.. and of cos, the Disney favourite characters.. Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, Pluto, Chip and Dale..

As for food.. we had cold pita bread sandwiches from the Arabian market, red bean pancakes/buns, authentic Italian pizza and pasta at restaurant situated beside the Venetian Gondolas and cooled off with mango 'ice-kacang and Mickey/Minnie ice-lollies.
