Have They Lost Their Marbles?

Should we really expect 11 year old kids to know and understand words like invariably, fast-pace, mobile society, work ethics, human rights etc??!! I wonder how many adults can actually explain these concepts adequately? What happened to all the fairy tales with happily ever-after endings or stories with likeable heroes who saved the world? Is it necessary for children to understand things beyond their maturity level because of the impact of globalisation and a volatile economy? And to worsen the situation, try translating all THAT in Chinese!!!...*faintz*

They say 'the sky is the limit'.. but call me a pessimist.. I think there is a breaking point somewhere.. and if we're not careful, this sky will come crashing down on us. We may be (if not already) looking at increased incidences of anxiety disorders, stress-related health issues, mental breakdowns and low self-esteem amongst the future generations. I believe people who had plenty of play, hobbies, interests, games and fun.. eventually do better at adapting themselves to meet the changing demands of daily living. How else does one de-stress and unwind? Certainly not by doing more work or studies? But maybe blogging helps.. ha ha ha!

The conclusion of the matter is.. I think if I were born in this era, I would probably be a dunce in class.. or is it 'dance in class'? Hmmmm...
