Retrolicious.. Johnny Hates Jazz.. Debbie Gibson.. Rick Astley..

The last secular concert I went to was probably Paula Abdul's in KL.. more than 20 years ago??? Riding on endorphins off-set by the champagne brunch and Formula One 2 weeks ago.. we decided to kick up our heels and boogey to the music of yester-year at the Retrolicious Concert held at Fort Canning Park last Saturday...

After queuing for more than an hour, we finally got through the gates and squeezed ourselves amongst the 6500 people standing on the grass slopes.. to be entertained by the Class 95 DJs.. wishing that we could turn back the clock as we listened to Johnny Hates Jazz's uber-cool-synthesized music.. almost getting lost in Debbie Gibson's eyes (she has great legs at 40.. ha ha!) and never giving up on Rick Astley!!! Although I enjoyed the music, I probably wouldn't qualify myself as a 'fan'.. strictly-speaking.. since I don't really know all the song lyrics by heart? Ah well.. la viva forever.. ABBA's Dancing Queen!!!
