Bigini + Leopard Preens = Bipolar Disorder???

First there was Bikini Girl on American Idol.. but being kiasu (not wanting to lose out).. Singapore now has its very own Bigini Girl aka the recently dethroned Miss World 2009.. the self-proclaimed fashionista who has strutted down Orchard Road wearing 'rad bigini' (red bikini), zebra 'preens' (prints) and 'duck' (dark) jeans.. cos she doesn't care two hoots about what other people think when it's quote; 'all about ME..BOOM'!!! But mind you.. don't play play with her cos she may be a formidable force to reckon with since she is studying 'steel' (still).

Ok, maybe I'm being rather mean.. but doesn't this scenario remind us of tone deaf contestants who can't sing on the Idol shows? We criticise and laugh at their lack of insight.. but at least they don't go on to WIN!!! Perhaps, unlike the fraud charge of using SEVEN different credit cards that were not hers over a period of 2 months.. it was indeed a true 'moment of folly' when she decided to submit the application form to vie for the title.

But what's more appalling than her poor articulation and command of the English Language, was the way the Organisers tried to defend their poor judgement and slow response.. by putting the blame on her supposed Bipolar Disorder??!! It does make one wonder if anything went on behind closed doors.. hmmm.. Come on, as IF Bipolar Disorder could be used as an excuse for poor PSLE, O and A Level English Oral Exam results (then the Ministry of Education would certainly have its hands full).. or for bungling the National Anthem at the F1 Grand Opening.. ha ha! Or maybe it just seems cool to be associated with the likes of Ms. Spears or Ms. Lohan? But if she does have this unfortunate problem.. she should be taking her Lithium medication regularly, especially before such a major event!

However, I must admit she does have guts or thick-skin.. whichever the case, I hope she does better with the rest of her life and get to show that she has true character and not 'bimboistic' indeed.. whether in or away from the limelight. And who knows.. she may even write a book someday??!! Any suggestions for the title.. hmmm.. '7 Habits of A______'???
